Permanent, Full Time

Responsive Repairs Team - 40 hours weekly worked on an 8-week rota as per below:

Shift Pattern 1 - Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm (including 1 hour lunch)

Shift Pattern 2 - Monday & Wednesday 11am-8pm. Tuesday. Thursday & Friday 8am -5pm

Shift Pattern 3 - Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday 8am-5pm, Wednesday 8am-12noon, Saturday 830am - 1230

Role Overview

As a Plasterer - Multi Trader, you will be responsible for the delivery and completion of repairs within our customers' homes and empty homes (voids). You will have a core trade in plastering, with the relevant training, experience, and trade skills to cover a wide range of plastering-related repairs and works. Ideally, you will also have skills in other trades such as carpentry, plumbing, tiling, decorating, bricklaying, groundworks, and fencing, enabling you to deliver a high standard of service and quality.

As a valued member of the bpha In House Maintenance Service Team, you will be provided with uniform, tools, a company van (for business use only), and a fuel card.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete plastering and associated multi-trade repairs to a high standard and quality.
  • Deliver excellent customer service, ensuring positive outcomes for residents.
  • Adhere to all SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) policies, procedures, and safe working practices.
  • Maintain van stock and order materials responsibly.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and customers.
  • Attend training, toolbox talks, and appraisals as required.
  • Ensure company property and equipment are well-maintained.
  • Maximise first-time fix rates and productivity.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and team collaboration.

  • Compliance with SHEQ standards and training requirements.
  • High customer satisfaction scores and low complaint rates.
  • First-time fix rate and productivity metrics.
  • Quality of workmanship and post-inspection results.
  • Efficient use of materials and van stock.

Person Specification

Essential:

  • Strong commitment to customer service excellence.
  • Organised, self-motivated, and able to manage time effectively.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and quality.
  • Basic IT literacy for using handheld devices and job systems.
  • Good general all-round trade and construction knowledge & experience.
  • Good and relevant health and safety knowledge.
  • Experience working under time constraints.
  • NVQ Level 2 or higher in a Construction trade, or C&G 6219-07: Multi-skills.
  • Full clean driving licence.

Desirable:

  • Desire to learn new construction skills and develop within the role.
  • Good knowledge of NHF schedule of rates.
  • Experience working in occupied homes.
  • Experience and training on working with non-licensed asbestos.
  • First Aid Training.

Qualifications:

  • Ideally educated to GCSE or equivalent levels.
