Location: Hertford, Hertfordshire
Contract Type: Permanent (Temp-to-Perm options available for an immediate start)
Contract Term: Full-Time
Start Date: January 2026
Salary: 34,397 - 52,488 per annum (MPS-UPS)+ TLR
Pay Scale: London Fringe Area
Are you an experienced and passionate Key Stage 1 teacher ready to step into leadership? Tradewind is proud to be working with a thriving and supportive primary school in St Albans, Hertfordshire, to appoint an enthusiastic and skilled Key Stage 1 Phase Leader starting in January 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking team and play a central role in shaping the learning experience for pupils across Key Stage 1. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Key Stage 1 team, supporting both teachers and support staff
- Ensure high standards of teaching, learning, and pupil progress across the phase
- Oversee effective curriculum planning and implementation in line with school policies
- Monitor and evaluate teaching outcomes and contribute to school improvement planning
- Provide mentoring and professional development opportunities for colleagues
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment that supports all learners
