Credit Controller

£25,000 - £30,000 depending upon experience

Stockport

Full Time Permanent Monday to Friday

Attega Group is currently partnering exclusively with our client in recruiting a Credit Controller to join the team.

The main purpose of the Credit Controller is to Monitor customer accounts and ensure timely collection of outstanding invoices.

In return, our client is offering a salary of up to £30,000 P/A, depending on experience, plus annual leave, pension after probation, progressive opportunities.

This is a full-time, permanent. The hours of work will be 08 00 Monday Friday

Reporting to the Hiring Manager your responsibilities will include:

  • Chase overdue payments via phone, email, and written correspondence.
  • Allocate and reconcile incoming payments.
  • Investigate and resolve invoice queries in collaboration with internal departments.
  • Prepare regular reports on aged debt, cash collection, and debtor performance.
  • Escalate problem accounts and recommend appropriate actions (e.g., account holds, legal escalation).
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all credit control activities.
  • Build and maintain good relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.


The ideal Credit Controller:

  • Previous experience in credit control or accounts receivable.
  • Strong communication.
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple accounts.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Sage.
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles.
