Portfolio Payroll is partnering with a respected accountancy practice in Newcastle as they look to expand their payroll division with the addition of a Payroll Assistant. This is an excellent chance to join a supportive, client-focused team providing payroll services to a broad mix of businesses.
The Opportunity
Working as part of a well-established team, you'll play a key role in delivering accurate, timely, and compliant payroll services for a varied client portfolio. Your responsibilities will include:
Processing payroll changes and updates with precision
Preparing payroll reports and ensuring all submissions are completed on schedule
Acting as the first point of contact for client payroll queries via phone and email
Overseeing pension administration and ensuring compliance with legislation
Liaising with HMRC on payroll-related matters when required
What We're Looking For
Previous experience in a payroll role with a solid understanding of bureau
Experience within an accountancy practice (desirable)
Familiarity with IRIS (STAR) Payroll Professional (advantageous)
Confident in using Excel and Outlook
