Disrepair Surveyor Salary: £55,000 £60,000 (DOE)

We are partnering with a forward-thinking housing provider seeking an experienced
Disrepair Surveyor to join their growing Property Services team. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong surveyor who has demonstrable experience managing complex disrepair cases, including expert witness duties and Part 35 compliance.
Key Responsibilities - Carry out detailed building surveys, defect diagnostics, and condition assessments for disrepair cases.
- Produce high-quality technical reports, schedules of work, and cost evaluations.
- Lead disrepair case management from instruction through to resolution, working closely with legal teams and contractors.
- Provide expert witness reports and give evidence as required, including responding to CPR Part 35 questions.
- Ensure all reports, evidence, and communications meet legal and regulatory requirements.
- Advise on remedial strategies, contractor performance, and technical solutions to resolve complex building defects.
- Carry out post-works inspections, ensuring all works meet required standards and compliance frameworks.
- Build strong relationships with residents, internal teams, solicitors, and external stakeholders.
- Identify trends in disrepair and contribute to long-term asset improvement strategies.
Requirements - Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within social housing, local authority, or a housing consultancy.
- Professional qualification (e.g., RICS, AssocRICS) strongly desirable
