Help Desk Technician | £150 - £160 p/day | Stockport (5 days onsite) | Contract (3months +) | January Start

Our client is looking for a help desk technician with 2+ years of experience to join their team based in Stockport. They are looking at a January start date and the contract is initially 3 months with the possibility of extension.

Location: Stockport (5 days onsite)
Contract: Until April (could extend)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the first point of contact for IT support queries via phone, email, and ticketing system
  • Log, prioritise, and manage incidents and service requests in line with SLAs
  • Diagnose and resolve common hardware, software, and network issues
  • Support users with Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and standard business applications
  • Perform basic user administration (password resets, account unlocks, permissions)
  • Escalate complex issues
  • Excellent customer service.

What we are looking for:

  • Previous experience in a 1st Line/Help Desk/Service Desk role (2+ years)
  • Strong working knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365
  • Experience using ITSM/ticketing systems
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tickets effectively.
