Accounts Assistant
Location: Near Bridgwater

A growing accountancy practice is seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their team near Bridgwater. This role offers hands-on experience across accounts, bookkeeping, and tax compliance, making it ideal for someone looking to develop their career in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare financial statements for companies, partnerships, and sole traders
- Maintain bookkeeping records and assist with VAT returns
- Prepare personal and corporate tax returns
- File statutory documents with regulatory authorities
- Provide general support to the finance team
Candidate Profile
- AAT qualified (or working towards) or equivalent experience
- Strong numerical, analytical, and organisational skills
- Confident communicator, able to manage multiple tasks
- Familiar with accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office
- Experience in an accountancy practice is desirable but not essential
