Job Description
Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting for a full time RE Teacher to work at an excellent school in Hull, starting 6th of January 2026, and lasting until at least February half term 2026. The length of this temporary position is based on staff illness, and may increase in the future. Ideally, the school would have a practitioner that performs full planning and marking duties, and for this reason payment will be between 32,916 and 232.56 per annum, scaled down to a daily rate of 168.80 and 232.56 per day.
The School is located in Hull, and is easily accessible via public transport. There is a large on site car park that is free to use for all candidates. The school is part of medium sized, local academy trust, and success in this role may lead to similar opportunities in the future. The school has an excellent behaviour management system in place, focusing on accountability and positive reinforcement. Feedback from candidates placed is that the school is extremely enjoyable experience. The Head of Humanities is extremely experienced and has a great bank of resources for candidates to use, meaning that planning requirements are minimal for this role.
You will be responsible for teaching Key Stage 3 and GCSE RE, while contributing to planning and marking. The timetable is slightly light, so there will be some lessons general cover, where all planning and marking will be provided.
Tradewind will also support your development during your placement and beyond through our fantastic CPD via The National College. You will be put onto all of the same CPD as permanent staff members, and encouraged to grow.
To join us and be successful in this role you will need to:
- Has a PGCE or similar teaching qualification
- Has a relevant qualification in RE
- Have experience working within schools in the UK
- Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
- CV must cover the full CV History
- Legal right to work in the UK
