Job Description

Do you want to help young people build independent, successful lives after leaving care?

We're looking for a committed Personal Advisor to support care-experienced young people aged 16-25 as they transition into adulthood. You'll work closely with them to access housing, education, health services, and financial support, helping them feel safe, stable, and empowered.

Key Details
  • Location: Manchester
  • Contract: 3-month temporary (with potential to go permanent)
  • Pay: £17.60 per hour
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, between 08:00 - 20:00
  • DBS: Enhanced required
  • Driving Licence: Essential - must have access to a vehicle

Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload and maintain accurate records
  • Support Pathway Plan assessments and reviews
  • Help young people access education, training, housing, and financial support
  • Promote welfare and ensure their voices are heard
  • Coordinate services and monitor progress
  • Work flexibly to meet individual needs
  • Partner with agencies to deliver holistic support

Requirements
  • Experience working with care-experienced young people
  • Strong communication, planning, and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation (Children Act, Leaving Care Act, etc.)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Full UK driving licence and daily access to a vehicle
  • Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check
