Senior Management Accountant

My client based in Birmingham is looking for a Senior Management Accountant to support them on a 6 month fixed term contract. They are looking for someone who can start within the next 2 weeks and commutable from Birmingham as they in the office 2 days per week.

Key responsibilities of the role:

• Reviewing and implementing innovative ways in which to improve our month end numbers therefore improving the overall efficiency of our projects
• Analysing on a weekly basis soft closing the week in order to prepare for month end
• Playing a key role in reducing the time it takes to complete month end reporting
• Leading key projects such as year end audits and internal audit self assessments delivering exceptional deadlines and improving business performance
• Managing a junior member to ensure they have grasped an understanding of business requirements and complete deadline requirements on time.

Skills and knowledge:

• Excellent excel skills
• Strong ability to work with ERPs, specifically Navision
• Proactive
• Driven
• Problem solver - able to problem solve without prompts
