SEMH TA - EYFS:
Location: Manchester (M20)
Start Date: 19/01/2026
Pay: 475- 550 per week, depending on experience
Prospero Teaching are currently seeking an EYFS teaching assistant, who is experienced supporting challenging behaviour, to join a primary pupil referral unit in Withington. The school supports pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH).
The Role:
- Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups, offering both academic and emotional mentoring
- Collaborating with class teachers and external agencies to monitor progress
- Effectively managing and de-escalating behaviour
Experience, Training & Qualifications:
- Level 2 Team Teach training, or willing to attend a course
- Up to date Safeguarding training within the last year (desired but training can be provided)
- Experience supporting SEMH within a classroom setting, or care setting
To be eligible for this role through Prospero Teaching, you must:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional references
