Location: London (2 x days per week)
Salary/Rate: Up to £455 per day
Start Date: Jan/Feb 2026
Job Type: 10-month inside (IR35 calculator)

Company Introduction:
We are currently recruiting for a Python engineer with experience in AWS Cloud infrastructure, Web services, microservices and APIs for an exciting contract at our global client in the insurance sector.

Required Skills/Experience:
The ideal candidate will have the following:

• Strong understanding of AWS cloud infrastructure, with proficiency in Python for Back End development
• Experience with Web Services, Microservices & APIs
• Able to work in an Agile development environment with continuous integration
• Confident working with data-intensive applications
• A fearless attitude towards tackling challenges across the entire stack
• A passion for learning and staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends

Job Responsibilities/Objectives:

• As a Python Software Engineer at our client, you'll be at the forefront of innovation, designing and building the next generation of solutions that power our life-saving mission-critical systems.
• Across the entire platform, you'll have the opportunity to deep dive into our stack, which includes our AWS cloud infrastructure with Python driving our Back End operations.
• Play a part in building great experiences for our customers, continuously improving the quality and value of our products
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement innovative solutions
• Develop and maintain Back End systems to ensure seamless operation
• Dive into our tech stack, exploring new tools and technologies to drive continuous improvement
• Troubleshoot and debug complex issues to ensure optimal performance and reliability
• Contribute to the entire software development life cycle, from ideation to deployment and beyond
