Joshua Robert Recruitment is partnering with a well-established, traditional Design & Build contractor in Birmingham, specialising in interior fit-out projects across retail, hospitality, leisure and commercial office sectors.

This is an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a small, close-knit team during a growth phase, gaining hands-on experience across all stages of commercial management.

Key Responsibilities

• Support cost planning, budgeting, and cost control on fit-out projects
• Assist with procurement, subcontractor enquiries, and supplier management
• Help prepare valuations, variations, and final accounts
• Support cash flow and cost reporting to project teams
• Liaise with site teams, suppliers, and subcontractors
• Ensure projects are delivered on budget and meet commercial targets

What We're Looking For

• HNC/HND or Degree in Quantity Surveying (or related discipline)
• Previous experience in construction or interior fit-out (preferred but not essential)
• Strong numerical, organisational, and analytical skills
• Proactive, reliable, and keen to develop within a growing business
• Excellent communication and team-working skills
• Full UK driving licence preferred
