About the RoleWiltshire Council is seeking three experienced Brokerage Officers to join its commissioning and procurement function. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with strong sourcing, procurement, or social care brokerage experience who can deliver high-quality, value-driven results in a fast-moving environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Brokerage Officer, you will:
- Source goods and/or services, running RFQs and working within dynamic purchasing systems and existing frameworks, ensuring compliance with Council, national and EU procurement requirements.
- Apply your knowledge and experience to creatively resource and secure best-value, customer-centred packages of care.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with commissioners and social care operational teams to ensure brokerage activity meets organisational needs and standards.
- Work effectively with service providers and care managers to support swift, seamless procurement, providing required information and resolving delays where possible.
What We're Looking For- Background in procurement, brokerage, commissioning, or social care (public sector experience beneficial).
- Ability to work independently and confidently within established procurement rules.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach to sourcing and problem-solving.
