Private Client Solicitor

Salary: 45,000- 55,000

We are working with a well-established Leeds-based law firm who are looking to recruit a Private Client Solicitor to join their growing team. This role offers the opportunity to manage a varied private client caseload while supporting the continued development of the department.
The role
You will be responsible for managing your own caseload of private client matters from inception to completion, delivering a high standard of client care and contributing to the firm's reputation and growth.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing a caseload of wills, probate, trusts, LPAs and deputyships
Drafting legal documentation and overseeing files accurately and efficiently
Maintaining and updating the case management system
Communicating with clients, colleagues, third parties and internal departments
Ensuring compliance with AML and regulatory requirements
Assisting colleagues on complex matters and providing holiday cover where required
Supporting business development and marketing activities
Contributing to training, development and continuous improvement within the team
About you
To be considered, you will have:
3+ years' PQE in private client work
Experience running a full private client caseload
Strong technical knowledge of wills, trusts, probate, estate planning, LPAs and deputyships
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Commercial awareness and the ability to identify and manage risk
Confidence using MS Office and legal case management systems
Desirable:
Some exposure to contentious probate
Experience supporting the marketing and development of a private client team
