About the role
As a Children's Social Worker at Milton Keynes City Council, you will play a critical role in safeguarding and supporting children and families. This position is designed for professionals who are passionate about making a real difference in the lives of vulnerable children and young people.
You will manage a varied caseload, conduct assessments, and develop care plans that ensure the safety and well-being of children. Responsibilities:
As a Children's Social Worker, you'll play a vital role in safeguarding and supporting children and families.
- Managing a diverse caseload of children and families, ensuring timely and effective interventions.
- Conducting assessments to identify risks and needs, and developing robust care plans.
- Working collaboratively with multi-agency partners to deliver the best outcomes for children.
- Providing direct support to children and families, empowering them to achieve positive change.
- Making evidence-based decisions that put the child's welfare at the heart of everything you do.
- Attending court proceedings and preparing clear, accurate reports when required.
- Contributing to team development, sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues.
About You
- Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England
- Passionate about supporting children, young people, and families
- Resilient, innovative, and able to make evidence-based decisions
- UK driving licence with business insurance
- Willing to work flexibly, including occasional out-of-hours work
