Part Time Finance Manager (Charity Sector) - Oldham

20-23 hours per week Flexible working pattern 6-month FTCSalary: £40,000-£50,000 (pro rata)Free parking 25 days holiday (pro rata)

A well-established charity based in Oldham is looking to appoint an experienced Part-Time Finance Manager on a 6-month fixed term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys flexibility, autonomy, and making a real impact within the not-for-profit sector.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, you will take ownership of the charity's financial operations and ensure the smooth running of all financial processes.

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing year-end draft accounts
  • Leading on budgeting and forecasting
  • Overseeing payments and processing grants
  • Managing liaison with The National Lottery and other funders
  • Supporting financial governance and contributing to strategic decision-making
  • Managing and developing one direct report (Finance Assistant)
  • Working with Xero to maintain accurate and timely financial records

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Finance Manager, ideally within a charity or not-for-profit organisation
  • Available to start as soon as possible
  • Either professionally qualified or qualified by experience
  • Strong technical accounting skills and the ability to work proactively and independently
  • Knowledge of charity funding streams is highly desirable

Working Pattern

  • 15-23 hours per week
  • Flexible on how hours are spread across the week
  • Flexible start and finish times
