Part Time Finance Manager (Charity Sector) - Oldham

A well-established charity based in Oldham is looking to appoint an experienced Part-Time Finance Manager on a 6-month fixed term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys flexibility, autonomy, and making a real impact within the not-for-profit sector.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, you will take ownership of the charity's financial operations and ensure the smooth running of all financial processes.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing year-end draft accounts
- Leading on budgeting and forecasting
- Overseeing payments and processing grants
- Managing liaison with The National Lottery and other funders
- Supporting financial governance and contributing to strategic decision-making
- Managing and developing one direct report (Finance Assistant)
- Working with Xero to maintain accurate and timely financial records
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Finance Manager, ideally within a charity or not-for-profit organisation
- Available to start as soon as possible
- Either professionally qualified or qualified by experience
- Strong technical accounting skills and the ability to work proactively and independently
- Knowledge of charity funding streams is highly desirable
Working Pattern
- 15-23 hours per week
- Flexible on how hours are spread across the week
