Electrical Controls Engineer

Inspire Resourcing Ltd are looking for a skilled Electrical Controls Engineer to join our well-established Controls team to complete project life cycles. This is from programming Siemens PLC/HMI/SCADA systems to crafting essential design documentation.

This role is based in the Barnsley office, with occasional UK site visits required for commissioning and FAT/SAT.

Key responsibilities for the Electrical Controls Engineer:

• Production of FDS / SDS.
• Design and programming of PLC / HMI / SCADA systems for various industries using SIEMENS, Mitsubishi etc. equipment. (SIEMENS essential)
• AutoCAD design of electrical distribution / motor control centres and PLC control systems.
• Attending client and sub-contractor meetings to support the project by providing technical expertise.
• Production of test documents FAT/SAT, and visits to panel manufacturer premises for Factory Acceptance Testing.
• Preparation of estimates, tenders, design specifications, and tender specifications.
• Authoring O&M Manuals.
• Keeping abreast of the latest developments in electrical engineering.

Essential qualifications / experience / capabilities for the Electrical Controls Engineer:

• An excellent understanding of a Controls Engineer responsibilities.
• Engineering qualification ideally level 4 (HND/Degree or equivalent).
• Relevant design (AutoCAD) experience in a relevant electrical design / controls engineering role
• Experience in control panel / MCC design, ideally with SIEMENS equipment.
• Project management experience will be an advantage.
• Ability to produce and manage RAMS.
• Experience in a turnkey project environment
• Highly organised with attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills. Ability to work proactively both individually and as part of a team.

The salary Package is 60-70K
