As an Accounts Assistant, you will support the finance function across a broad range of transactional and month end duties. This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys working in a varied position, is keen to learn, and wants to progress within a supportive and forward thinking environment.
Main duties: - Processing purchase invoices and ensuring accurate coding and posting
- Managing supplier accounts and handling supplier queries
- Assisting with sales ledger, including invoicing and cash allocation
- Supporting bank reconciliations and resolving discrepancies
- Assisting with month-end processes, including accruals and prepayments
- Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation
- Supporting the wider finance team with ad-hoc tasks and projects
Ideal candidate: - Intial experience in an Accounts Assistant or similar finance role
- Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
- Good working knowledge of Excel
- Proactive, organised, and able to manage your own workload
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop
- Studying towards (or keen to start) AAT would be advantageous but not essential
