Planning Technician - Base Maintenance (South Wales)-Permanent role.
Monday - Friday 08:00 - 16:00 (37.5 hours per week)
We are currently seeking an experienced Planning Technician to join a busy Planning team within a well-established aviation MRO organisation in South Wales. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong base maintenance background who enjoys working in a structured, detail-focused environment.
The Role:
Reporting to the Head of Planning, you will support the Planning Engineer in managing aircraft maintenance work packs, ensuring all activities meet airworthiness and regulatory requirements while maximising aircraft availability.
Key responsibilities include:
Building and compiling aircraft maintenance work packs in line with company procedures
Assembling and analysing customer work packs and technical task cards
Identifying and managing CMT, CDCCL, EWIS, EZAP and ETOPS tasks
Creating staged technical task cards capturing AD, SB and EO requirements
Capturing and annotating required materials and tooling on all task cards
Updating Lists of Work and controlling the Customer Query Log
Issuing pre-loads to Procurement and Stores
Supporting pre-input meetings and recording minutes in Centrik
Reviewing ATL and ADDs on aircraft arrival, capturing NRCs and WCRs
Printing, auditing and issuing work packs to Production
Ensuring compliance with MOE, customer procedures and company policies
Requirements:
Relevant experience within a Base Maintenance / MRO environment
Previous experience within an aviation planning team
Working knowledge of CAA & EASA Part 145 regulations and CAP 562
Familiarity with MBF, Airbus World, OASES and/or AMOS systems
Mechanical engineering apprenticeship or relevant aviation qualification
Minimum of 5 GCSEs (Grade C or above), including Maths and English
