Job Description

About the Role:

As a Year 3 HLTA, you will work closely with the class teacher to deliver high-quality teaching and learning. You will support whole-class learning, deliver targeted interventions, and may lead lessons or cover classes when required. You'll play a key role in helping pupils develop independence, confidence, and strong learning behaviours.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support and deliver learning activities across the Year 3 curriculum.

  • Lead small group interventions in literacy and numeracy.

  • Provide cover for the class teacher when required.

  • Support assessment, observations, and pupil progress tracking.

  • Promote positive behaviour and a well-managed classroom environment.

  • Support pupils' social, emotional, and academic development.

  • Uphold safeguarding and inclusion policies at all times.

Requirements:
  • HLTA status or relevant experience at HLTA level.

  • Experience working within Key Stage 2, ideally Year 3.

  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.
