Part 21 Electrical / Avionics Engineer - Aircraft Interior Modifications(Multiple positions available at all levels)£50,000 - £80,000 base + very competitive benefitsLocation: Camberley, Farnborough Area - Hybrid About the OpportunityWe are hiring for a multitude of Electrical Avionics Engineers who are interested in joining the clients EASA Design Organisation team, supporting with the design, integration and certification of large commercial aircraft electrical and avionics modifications.This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career or developing engineer to gain hands-on experience across full lifecycle aircraft modification programmes within a highly regulated Part 21J environment, working alongside experienced compliance and certification specialists.Key Responsibilities- You will work closely with a global, multi-disciplinary engineering team to support the delivery and certification of aircraft electrical/avionics design changes.Responsibilities include:- Supporting electrical/avionics design and integration activities for large aircraft modifications- Producing engineering documentation including wiring diagrams, harness drawings, routing layouts and installation instructions- Developing Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA) and Service Bulletin documentation- Supporting compliance demonstration and certification activities- Preparing technical reports and compliance artefacts such as:- Electrical load analysis- Test plans and reports- Compliance statements- System safety assessments- Equipment qualification documentation- EWIS assessments and checklists- Participating in design and certification reviews (PDR, CDR, FAI etc.)- Acting as an engineering representative with customers and suppliers- Providing occasional on-site support during installation/embodiment phasesSkills & Experience Required- Degree in Electrical, Avionics, Aerospace or Aeronautical Engineering- 1-10 years' relevant aerospace engineering experience- Exposure to EASA Part 21J / Design Organisation environments (preferred)- Understanding of CS-25 / FAR-25 electrical and avionics certification requirements- Experience producing electrical installation drawings and technical documentation- Strong attention to detail and structured problem-solving approach- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities- Comfortable working in collaborative, international teamsDesirable:- Aircraft interiors or modification programme experience- Familiarity with EWIS requirements- Knowledge of load analysis and systems safety processesWhat's on Offer- Work on real-world commercial aircraft modification programmes- Exposure to full certification lifecycle activities- Strong mentoring and career development- Collaborative, engineering-led culture- Competitive salary and benefits packageNo sponsorship available for this position.
