We are recruiting on behalf of a housing provider for an experienced Lettings Officer to support the delivery of a high-quality allocations, lettings, and empty property management service.
This Lettings Officer role is ideal for a housing professional with strong experience in allocations and empty homes, who can work proactively to ensure properties are re-let efficiently and in line with policy.
Key Responsibilities of a Lettings Officer:
- Support the delivery of an effective allocations, lettings, and empty property management service as a Lettings Officer.
- Ensure vacant properties are re-let in accordance with the allocations policy and within agreed timescales to meet performance targets.
- Carry out shortlisting and eligibility assessments to ensure sustainable lettings.
- Maintain and develop effective working relationships with local authorities regarding Choice Based Lettings and nomination agreements.
- Ensure lettings processes operate effectively to deliver high levels of customer satisfaction.
What We'd Love To See From You:
- Previous experience working in the housing sector, particularly in lettings, allocations, or empty property management.
- Strong understanding of allocations policies and sustainable tenancy principles.
- Experience working with Choice Based Lettings schemes and local authority partners.
- Well organised, customer-focused, and able to manage workloads effectively.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.
