The Junior Financial Controller will support the finance department with accounting, reporting, and financial planning in the leisure, travel, and tourism industry. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to ensure accurate financial management and compliance.

Description
- Prepare and analyse financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
- Assist in managing accounts payable and receivable.
- Collaborate with internal teams to optimise financial performance.
- Monitor cash flow and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Identify and implement process improvements within the finance function.
- Provide support during audits and liaise with external auditors.
Profile
A successful Junior Financial Controller should have:
- ACCA / CIMA / ACA qualified or equivalent
- Recent industry experience (travel, tourism or leisure industry desirable)
- Strong knowledge of FRS 102, UK PAYE, payroll, and compliance
- Familiarity with group/consolidated reporting
- Experience with FX revaluations
- Working knowledge of Xero as the core system
- Exposure to CRM integration/implementation
- Intermediate Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
Job Offer
- 50,000 to 60,000 salary
