RECfinancial are recruiting for a dedicated Accounts Assistant to support a busy finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the start of their finance career, ideally already studying towards their AAT qualification. Commutable from Blaby, Whetstone, Hinckley, Earl Shilton and Leicestershire.

THE ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT ROLE:
This role offers a proactive and adaptable candidate the opportunity to gain hands-on finance experience across core functions, develop practical accounting skills, and be exposed to broader business operations. The successful applicant will support the Accounts Team in the smooth running of the Finance Department and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT ROLE:
- Assist in chasing outstanding payments from suppliers.
- Support with Credit Control
- Produce financial month end reports
- Maintain the cash book
- Resolve income and account queries
- Accurately process purchase invoices
- Support with posting daily cash transactions
- Raise and issue sales invoices
- Update and maintain finance procedures and documentation
- Support with ad hoc financial projects as required
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Exceptional accuracy and meticulous attention to detail
- Effective time management and organisational skills
- A positive, proactive attitude and eagerness to acquire new skills
- Strong analytical abilities and a systematic approach to tasks
- Excellent communication, both clear and professional
- Proven ability to work effectively independently and collaboratively in a team
