The Opportunity
We're partnering with a leading financial services organisation seeking an experienced AI & Data Platform Architect to design and evolve enterprise-scale data and AI solutions within a highly regulated investment banking environment.
This is a senior, hands-on architecture role requiring deep expertise in modern data technologies, AI integration, and cloud-native deployment. You'll shape the future-state architecture for AI-driven platforms supporting front-office applications, regulatory reporting, and real-time analytics.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and own end-to-end AI-enabled data architectures supporting investment banking use cases
- Architect high-performance data storage and retrieval solutions using technologies such as MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch and related tools
- Define best practices across caching, indexing, search optimisation, and distributed data patterns
- Lead AI/ML integration into enterprise systems, including model deployment, inference optimisation and real-time analytics
- Collaborate with data science, engineering, infrastructure and business teams to deliver scalable, compliant solutions
- Ensure robust governance across data provenance, security, and regulatory controls
- Drive cloud-native architecture strategy (AWS/Azure/GCP, containers, micro-services)
- Provide technical leadership, architecture governance, and mentorship across engineering teams
Essential Experience
- 15+ year's experience in enterprise technology environments
- 5+ year's operating in a Technical/Enterprise Architecture capacity
- Deep expertise in:
- MongoDB (schema design, scaling, performance tuning)
- Redis (high-speed caching, distributed access patterns)
- Elasticsearch (search architecture and indexing strategies)
- Strong experience embedding AI/ML into enterprise platforms
- Advanced understanding of distributed systems, micro-services, and data modelling
- Experience operating within regulated financial services environments
- Cloud and containerisation expertise (AWS/Azure/GCP, Docker, Kubernetes)
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to translate business and regulatory requirements into technical design
