Architectural Technician - 12-Month Contract (On-Site, Lancaster)

Role Overview

A 12-month on-site opportunity is available for an Architectural Technician based in Lancaster, with an immediate start.The role involves producing detailed technical drawings and construction plans, working closely with architects and designers, and ensuring all documentation is accurate, compliant, and aligned with project requirements. Proficiency in CAD software is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce detailed technical drawings, construction plans, and associated documentation.
• Collaborate with architects, designers, and project teams to meet project specifications.
• Use CAD software to create accurate and efficient drawing packages (experience with Vectorworks is beneficial).
• Ensure compliance with relevant building regulations and construction standards.
• Assist with technical problem-solving during project development.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external teams to support project coordination.

Qualifications & Experience

• Strong background in Architectural Technology or Architecture.
• Proficient in technical drawing and construction detailing.
• Skilled in CAD software; Vectorworks experience advantageous.
• Solid understanding of building regulations and construction principles.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communicator with strong collaborative ability.
• Bachelor's degree in Architectural Technology or related field (preferred).
• Previous experience within the architecture or construction sector is advantageous.
