Senior Buyer
West Yorkshire Manufacturing Permanent
We're recruiting a Senior Buyer for a well-established UK manufacturing business. Reporting to the Head of Global Supply Chain, this role will take ownership of key commodities, supplier relationships, and cost-reduction initiatives while supporting wider supply chain improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing supplier sourcing, negotiation, onboarding, and contracts
- Owning specific commodities and mitigating supply chain risk
- Delivering cost savings and improving delivery performance
- Supporting NPI projects and production demand planning
- Creating forecasts and KPI reporting
- Supporting team leadership and process improvement initiatives
About you:
- CIPS Level 4 qualified (or working towards)
- 5+ years' experience in a manufacturing purchasing environment
- Strong negotiation, supplier management, and analytical skills
- Confident working in fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environments
- Full UK driving licence
