Senior Claims Handler

Are you an experienced, cross-class Commercial Claims Handler who loves a challenge and takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service? We're looking for a talented professional to join an established and friendly team in Stoke-on-Trent.

The Role

As a Senior Commercial Claims Handler, you will manage a varied caseload of cross-class commercial claims. You'll provide a professional, proactive and empathetic service, keeping clients fully informed and managing expectations throughout the lifecycle of each claim. Duties will include preparing detailed analysis reports, attending client meetings and acting as a technical referral point, as well as supporting and mentoring less experienced colleagues.

You will ideally have:-

• Proven cross-class Commercial Claims handling experience
• Strong customer service ethos
• CII qualification (or working towards) desirable
• Experience handling haulage, motor trade, liability and property claims advantageous
• Broking and client-facing claims experience desirable
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Experience using Acturis desirable

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and negotiation skills, a proactive and self-motivated approach, strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to perform under pressure, as well as effective teamwork and mentoring capability.

The salary is up to £35,000 per annum and benefits include 26 days holiday (plus bank holidays), support with professional qualifications/ongoing training, contributory pension scheme, 24-hour physical & mental wellbeing support and 1 paid volunteering day each year.
