Learning and Development Advisor
£19.23/hr PAYE
12 Months
Prestwick
36 hours per week

Morson Edge are supporting a leading Aerospace manufacturing organisation in Prestwick who are looking to appoint a Learning & Development Advisor to support their Manufacturing function.
This role is operationally focused and will support capability development, compliance, and skills progression across production teams. It sits within the L&D team but works closely with Manufacturing Managers and shop-floor leadership on a daily basis.
You will support the coordination and delivery of learning and development activity across the Manufacturing environment, ensuring technical capability and compliance requirements are met while supporting future workforce development initiatives.

Role Responsibilities
• Support delivery of the L&D strategy aligned to Manufacturing and wider business objectives
• Coordinate and administer technical, compliance and mandatory training for production teams
• Work closely with Manufacturing Managers to identify training needs and maintain accurate skills/capability matrices
• Support the design and evaluation of practical, shop-floor focused learning solutions
• Assist in administration and coordination of Early Careers programmes (apprenticeships, placements, entry pathways)
• Liaise with internal SMEs and external training providers to deliver cost-effective training solutions
• Maintain accurate training records and learning systems to ensure audit readiness and regulatory compliance
• Support evaluation of training effectiveness and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
• Provide guidance to managers and employees on development pathways within Manufacturing
• Promote a positive learning culture across the Manufacturing function

Typical Knowledge, Skills, and Qualification Requirements
Essential
• Experience within a Learning & Development or Training environment
• Strong organisational and coordination capability
• Experience supporting technical, compliance or production-based training
• Ability to manage multiple training activities in a fast-paced operational environment
• Strong communication skills, comfortable engaging with shop-floor and leadership teams
• Intermediate IT skills including Microsoft Office and learning systems
Desirable
• Experience within Aerospace, Engineering or Manufacturing
• HNC in Aeronautical Engineering or CIPD qualification
• Coaching or facilitation experience
• Exposure to regulated or compliance-driven industries
