Job Title: Town Planner & Senior Town Planner
Location:Crawley
We are seeking an ambitious and motivated RTPI-qualified Town Planner to join a fast-paced and collaborative planning team working across a diverse portfolio of projects. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing consultancy delivering residential, education, strategic land and commercial developments across the South of England.
The successful candidate will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, supporting major schemes while also leading smaller projects from inception through to determination. You will liaise closely with clients, local authorities and external consultants, gaining exposure to high-profile and complex planning matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing planning projects from initial appraisal through to determination
- Leading smaller applications and supporting larger strategic schemes
- Preparing planning applications, statements and supporting documentation
- Liaising with clients, local authorities and external consultants
- Attending client meetings, site visits and stakeholder consultations
- Supporting junior team members and contributing to team collaboration
- Managing deadlines and coordinating inputs from technical consultants
Person Specification
- RTPI qualified Town Planner
- Professional planning experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Commercial awareness and interest in development
- Full UK driving licence
