This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced planning professional to join a highly respected consultancy with a strong reputation across residential, mixed-use, heritage, and urban development projects. The role offers a senior position within a collaborative and technically strong team, with clear scope to contribute strategically and commercially to the business.
The RoleAs an Associate Town Planner, you will lead complex planning projects from initial strategy through to determination, providing high-quality and commercially focused advice to a diverse client base.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading and managing major planning applications, appeals, and site promotions
Providing strategic planning advice to developers, landowners, and investors
Preparing detailed planning statements and overseeing supporting documentation
Managing client relationships and acting as a trusted senior advisor
Coordinating multi-disciplinary consultant teams
Engaging with local authorities, stakeholders, and community groups
Mentoring junior planners and contributing to team development
Supporting business development and helping to grow the London planning offer
The successful Associate Town Planner will have:
MRTPI Chartered status
Significant private sector consultancy experience
Proven experience delivering complex planning projects
Strong commercial awareness and client management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Experience mentoring or managing junior team members
