Job Description

We are recruiting on behalf of a large UK housing charity for an experienced Supported Housing Manager to lead a specialist supported housing service based in Bristol.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing organisation delivering accommodation and intensive, person-centred support to individuals and families experiencing homelessness and multiple disadvantage.
This is a hands-on leadership position where you will manage a local team while holding a small complex caseload yourself. You will drive high-quality, trauma-informed and strength-based practice, ensuring residents achieve meaningful and sustainable outcomes.
Key Responsibilities of a Supported Housing Manager:
  • Lead, motivate and develop a high-performing supported housing team through effective supervision, appraisals and reflective practice
  • Embed trauma-informed, strength-based and non-risk-averse approaches across the service
  • Oversee safeguarding, risk management and multi-agency engagement
  • Quality assure support plans, risk assessments and resident engagement
  • Manage referrals, assessments and tenancy sign-ups
  • Oversee rent management, Housing Benefit/Universal Credit processes and arrears prevention
  • Ensure property compliance, H&S standards and service performance targets are consistently met
  • Monitor KPIs and prepare reports in line with commissioning agreements
  • Participate in the Managers On-Call rota and provide escalation support when required
  • Build strong partnerships with local authorities, statutory agencies and third-sector partners
What We'd Love To See From You:

  • Experience leading a team within a supported housing or homelessness setting
  • Extensive experience supporting people experiencing homelessness and multiple disadvantage
  • Strong knowledge of housing management, rent collection and welfare benefits
  • Proven ability to work in a trauma-informed and strength-based way
  • Significant safeguarding knowledge and experience
  • Experience quality assuring support plans and risk assessments
  • Confidence engaging with commissioners and multi-agency partners
  • Strong ICT skills and experience using digital case management systems
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • An Enhanced DBS check will be required.
