Trainee Design Engineer

Trainee Design Engineer - Stroud, GL10 area - 27,000 to 28,5000 - 39 hour week Monday to Friday - Permanent opportunity - 25 days holiday plus BH's, Company Pension, Performance bonus and onsite parking

Our client who are a Manufacturing Company based in Stonehouse are currently looking to expand their team and recruit a Trainee Design Engineer to work along side the Managing Director. This company offers a nice clean and open plan environment, friendly, fairly small team, everyone helps out where needed.

The successful candidate will be required to:

• Help to design and modify drawings
• Provide production support
• Manage projects and designs from concept stage through to production
• Process orders using an MRP system
• Help to write programmes on a Laser Machine
• Organise design files
• Support the shop floor with any product issues

In order to be considered for this role our client is looking for:

• Apprenticeship, NVQ or Degree in Engineering (or equivalent)
• Competent in AutoCad
• Ideally 2D experience

In addition the successful Design Engineer will have experience of the design / drawing process and will have a high attention to detail. You will also have an knowledge of working to quality standards and have an understanding of the manufacturing process.
