Assistant Director - Strategic Commissioning (ASC)

My Local Authority client in the Midlands is looking to appoint a talented Assistant Director for Strategic Commissioning (Adults) on a Contract basis.

The role will lead strategic commissioning function for the Council, ensuring strategic contract management and delivering VFM.

Local Authority experience is essential

About the role:

Based in the Midlands (hybrid):

• Lead the Strategic Commissioning function for Adult Social Care.
• Develop and implement commissioning strategies, delivering VFM.
• Undertake needs assessment and gap analyses to inform commissioning decisions
• Develop and manage commissioning cycles, including service specs, procurement, contract management and monitoring.

About you:
You will have the following experiences:

• Extensive experience in Adult's Commissioning, at Head of Service level or above.
• Deep experience in project management and transformation.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
• Local Authority experience is essential.

What's on offer:

• Salary: 750+ per day, inside IR35

negotiable based on experience
