About the School
The School is a mixed Secondary School for students aged from 11 to 16 years with around 950 students in total. The School is based in Portsmouth. The school was graded as a Good School in its last Ofsted inspection and continues to perform well.
The Role
We are seeking a passionate and motivated English Teacher to join the school s English department. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach at Key Stage 5 for the right candidate. You will inspire students to develop a love of literature and language, helping them to achieve their full potential through innovative teaching and a supportive approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver and assess high-quality English lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages participation and progress
- Differentiate learning to meet a range of abilities and learning styles
- Contribute to departmental planning and whole-school initiatives
