Junior Electrical Engineer - Building Services Consultancy
London (Hybrid)
I'm working with a well-regarded, design-led building services consultancy that's looking to hire a Junior Electrical Engineer to support a growing pipeline of projects.
This opportunity is ideal for someone at the early stage of their career who has already gained hands-on experience working within a building services consultancy and is now looking to take the next step in a more design-focused environment.
The Company
This is a multidisciplinary engineering consultancy known for its work in building services, sustainability, and low-energy design.
They operate across sectors including commercial, residential, education and science & technology, with a strong emphasis on delivering high-performance, environmentally conscious buildings.
You'll be joining a collaborative, close-knit team where junior engineers are given real responsibility and exposure from an early stage.
The Role
You'll be supporting the delivery of electrical designs across a range of projects, working closely with senior engineers and the wider design team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting in the design of electrical systems including lighting and power
- Producing drawings, calculations, and technical specifications
- Supporting projects from concept through to completion
- Attending coordination meetings with clients, architects, and other consultants
- Undertaking site visits and surveys
- Contributing to sustainable design solutions
What They're Looking For
- Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or similar
- Experience within a building services consultancy (post-graduation)
- Experience contributing to live project work
- Understanding of electrical design within the built environment
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or Revit (beneficial)
- Strong communication skills and a proactive mindset
