The Science Department

The Science Department is a large, collaborative and successful team, delivering a high-quality curriculum across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

Students study a broad science programme including:

  • Combined Science and Separate Sciences at GCSE

  • Biology, Chemistry and Physics pathways

  • A strong emphasis on practical investigation and scientific enquiry

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Possess excellent subject knowledge in Science

  • Have a strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum and assessment frameworks

  • Demonstrate a passion for inspiring young scientists

  • Be committed to delivering high-quality teaching and learning

  • Be eager to contribute to departmental and whole-school improvement
