Overview
You will be responsible for setting and operating CNC Turning machines, machining components from a variety of materials. The section primarily uses Mazak and Fanuc machine controls. Our equipment includes two Turn/Mill lathes-one featuring a Y-axis and sub-spindle-as well as a Mazak J200 Integrex Mill/Turn machine.
Most work involves using prepared process and tooling sheets with pre-created programs. However, you may occasionally need to perform machine-side program editing. Knowledge of conversational systems such as Mazatrol or Hurco would be advantageous.
A solid understanding of materials, machining techniques, and the ability to plan and execute jobs under pressure are essential. While not mandatory, a recognised apprenticeship combined with significant post-training industrial experience is a strong indicator of competence in this role.
