Job Description

Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting! We are seeking an experienced and passionate Nursery Manager for a North Liverpool based primary school. This is a full-time, long-term role (52 weeks per year) with a daily rate of up to 200 per day.

Main Duties

  • To be responsible for the development and daily management of Nursery provision and staff.
  • To develop and implement effective Early Years curriculum plans and monitor outcomes taking responsibility for the
  • learning and achievement of all pupils in the nursery ensuring equality of opportunity for all
  • This role will have direct management responsibility for staff and the unit budget.
  • Treat pupils with dignity, building relationships rooted in mutual respect, and at all times observing proper boundaries
  • appropriate to the professional position
  • Work proactively and effectively in collaboration and partnership with pupils and their families, parents/carers,
  • governors, other staff and external agencies in the best interests of children and their families
  • Take responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the school
  • Take responsibility for ensuring all aspects of safeguarding are met including in line with site, local and national policies
  • and guidance.

Professional Training and Qualifications

  • NNEB, NVQ Level 3 Early Years Childcare and Education or equivalent
  • Level 2 qualification in Maths
  • Relevant Early Years curriculum training.
  • A commitment to undertake further training and development
  • Paediatric First Aid Training or agreement to undertake within 3 months

Experience

  • Have at least four years' experience of working in an early years or educational setting with
  • children aged 5 and under
  • Minimum 2 years' experience of a post with management / supervisory responsibilities
  • Experience of implementing a high-quality Early Years Curriculum
  • Preparation for Ofsted inspections; and achievement of positive Ofsted reports.
  • Has contributed to multi-disciplinary teams regarding the promotion of SEND, Safeguarding
  • Health & Safety and/or emotional well-being of children.
  • Experience of working with a team of professionals regarding planning and assessments.
  • Experience of working in a team and supporting colleagues
  • Experience of supporting children with SEND
