Forge Inspector
Location: Livingston
Salary: 31,991 + 7,997 shift allowance (Total 39,989)
Hours: 37 per week (3-shift rotation)
We are recruiting for a Forge Inspector on behalf of a leading manufacturing client. This role is key to ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency across forging and inspection operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect forged components, dies, and machined parts
- Carry out hot and black forge inspections
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Use precision measuring equipment and perform numerical calculations
- Support production targets, quality standards, and continuous improvement
- Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures and safe systems of work
- Work flexibly across multiple inspection areas as required
Requirements:
- Time-served engineer (HNC or equivalent)
- Strong numerical and problem-solving skills
- Experience in quality inspection and manufacturing environments
- Knowledge of safe working practices and quality systems
- Ability to work shifts and adapt to business needs
Desirable:
- Experience reading technical drawings and using inspection tools
