Are you a Production Engineer who enjoys improving how things are made, not just maintaining the status quo?

We re working with a well-established and growing manufacturing business to recruit a Production Engineer to support both current production and the introduction of new products.

This is a hands-on role where you ll play a key part in driving continuous improvement, increasing efficiency, and ensuring high-quality output across the shop floor.

The Role
Reporting into the Lean Engineering Manager, you ll work across manufacturing and assembly operations, supporting production performance and leading improvement initiatives.
You ll be involved in:
  • Driving continuous improvement projects to enhance quality, throughput, and efficiency
  • Supporting production and resolving engineering issues on the shop floor
  • Reviewing new product designs to ensure they are fit for manufacture
  • Introducing and improving manufacturing processes and systems
  • Working closely with production, quality, and supply chain teams
  • Supporting new product introduction (NPI) activity
  • Producing clear documentation and operating procedures
  • Ensuring all work aligns with health & safety and quality standards
What We re Looking For
We re keen to speak with engineers who can bring both technical knowledge and a proactive mindset.

You ll ideally have:
  • HNC / HND (or equivalent) in an Engineering discipline
  • Experience within a manufacturing or production environment
  • A strong understanding of continuous improvement methodologies
  • Knowledge of sheet metal or fabrication processes (highly desirable)
  • Experience with quality tools such as DFMEA / PFMEA
  • Project experience delivering process or production improvements
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach
