Working for this well-established distributor as a Trade Counter Assistant, you ll provide day-day support across the trade counter and branch, ensuring customer requests are fulfilled and satisfaction is kept high.


Salary Up to £26,500 Per Annum + Callout Bonus + Benefits

Location Southampton

Role Type Full time, permanent role.


What will your day look like?

  • Providing day-to-day support across the trade counter and branch with a dependable team-orientated approach

  • Responding to customer enquiries via phone and email using strong written and communication skills

  • Preparing picking slips and liaising with the warehouse team, processing orders accurately with good attention to detail

  • Serving customers at the trade counter, supplying parts and maintaining stock levels

  • Supporting occasional local deliveries when required so a full valid UK driving license is required for this position.


The call out requirement is rare but does require your availability over the weekend and bank holidays if it falls on those days. This is on a rota basis and a bonus is payable for each callout. A FLT licence would be also be advantageous but not essential as training will be provided.
