The Role

As a Private Client Legal Secretary, you will provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to fee earners within a busy department. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing, formatting, and amending legal documents
  • Managing diaries, scheduling appointments, and organising client meetings
  • Handling incoming enquiries and providing a professional, client-focused service
  • Audio typing and digital dictation
  • Opening and closing files, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with compliance procedures
  • Liaising with clients, colleagues, and external organisations
  • General administrative duties to support the smooth running of the department

About You

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience as a Legal Secretary, ideally within Private Client
  • Strong audio typing and document production skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritise a busy workload
  • A warm, professional communication style with a focus on client care
  • Confidence working with Wills, Probate, LPAs, and Estate Administration (desirable)
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
