HV Electrical Estimator
Remote (2 days per month in Bury St Edmunds or Sheffield)
£65,000 (flexible for the right candidate)

VIQU have partnered with a rapidly growing Independent Connection Provider delivering high-voltage electrical infrastructure for commercial, industrial, and renewable energy projects. With a strong reputation in the market and ambitious growth plans, they are investing heavily in their pre-construction and estimating capability.

They are seeking a High Voltage Electrical Estimator to support the delivery of accurate, competitive, and technically robust estimates across 11kV-132kV projects.

The Role

This is a primarily remote position with minimal office travel, offering excellent flexibility. You'll play a key role in the estimating function, working closely with commercial and delivery teams while also supporting and mentoring junior estimators.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce and review cost estimates for HV projects (11kV-132kV)
  • Ensure compliance with DNO/IDNO standards and G81 requirements
  • Support and develop junior members of the estimating team
  • Prepare cost packs, margin approvals, and cashflow forecasts
  • Contribute to bid strategy and attend tender meetings
  • Review market rates and liaise with supply chain partners
Experience Required
  • Proven experience as an HV Estimator (ICP, DNO, or iDNO background preferred)
  • Strong HV knowledge (33kV minimum, ideally up to 132kV)
  • Good understanding of DNO/IDNO standards and G81
  • Strong commercial awareness and cost control experience
  • Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines

  • Remote-first role with just 2 office days per month
  • Very occasional site visits (a few times per quarter)
  • Salary up to £65,000 with flexibility for the right candidate
