Service Desk Engineer (1st/2nd Line)Belfast£30,000 - £35,0006 months onsite Hybrid (3 days office / 2 days remote thereafter)We are working with a growing and fast-paced Managed Service Provider in Belfast who are looking to appoint a driven and customer-focused Service Desk Engineer to join their team.This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong 1st/2nd Line Engineer who thrives in a busy MSP environment and is keen to further develop their Microsoft 365 and infrastructure skills.The RoleYou will be responsible for handling Level 1 and Level 2 support tickets, managing approximately 60-80 tickets per week in a dynamic service desk environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality remote support to a broad client base.Key responsibilities include:Microsoft 365 support (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint)User account creation and permissions management (AD & M365)Windows 10/11 supportRemote desktop support for PCs, laptops, and mobile devicesTroubleshooting email and mail filtering issuesAnti-virus and anti-malware managementBackup and disaster recovery supportBasic networking and firewall troubleshootingTicket logging and call handlingContributing to technical documentationOccasional client site visitsWhat We're Looking For2+ years' experience in a Service Desk / IT Support roleStrong Microsoft 365 support experienceExperience troubleshooting Windows OS and Active DirectoryBackground working in a fast-paced MSP environmentComfortable managing high ticket volumes (60-80 per week)Strong communication and customer service skillsDriven, motivated and eager to learnFull driving licence and access to a vehicleWhat's On OfferSalary between £30,000 - £35,000Structured training and exposure to technologies including:Virtualisation (Hyper-V, VMware)Backup solutions (Veeam, Azure, Cove)Network security (SonicWall, Fortinet)Enterprise hardware and switching technologies6-month in-office onboarding periodHybrid working (2 days remote per week after probation)Supportive team environment with clear progression opportunitiesInterview ProcessInformal Teams chatIn-person interview including a Microsoft 365 technical skills assessment
