Country Director - Scotland

We are seeking a talented individual to join a leadership team and help sustain and expand programmes across Scotland.

Position: Country Director - Scotland
Salary: £53,836 - £59,012
Location: Hybrid with travel to Glasgow
Hours: 35 hours per week, full time
Contract: Permanent
Closing Date: Wednesday 6th May 2026
Interview Dates: 13th May and 18th May

About the Role

This is an exceptional opportunity for a high calibre professional with leadership experience to take on a key strategic role.

You will lead and manage work across Scotland, helping to improve the lives of foster families, children and young people in foster care, while supporting fostering services.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and managing work within a specific country
  • Driving monitoring, impact and evaluation activity
  • Developing and maintaining key stakeholder relationships
  • Overseeing delivery of sustainable, impactful programmes
  • Securing funding and promoting organisational activity
  • Managing budgets and ensuring financial oversight
  • Identifying opportunities for innovation and collaboration
  • Growing membership and engagement
  • Acting as safeguarding lead

About You

You will be a collaborative and strategic leader with:

  • Strong knowledge of foster care and children's social care
  • Experience within local authority social services
  • Leadership and management experience
  • Experience of strategic planning and programme delivery
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders and government bodies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational and problem solving abilities

You will also demonstrate a commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion.
