5 Axis Laser Setter Operator
Location: Coventry
Hours: Morning shift
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled 5 Axis Laser Setter / Operator to join a busy Manufacturing team. This is a hands-on role responsible for setting and operating 5-axis laser cutting machinery, producing high-quality components in line with production plans and customer specifications.
This opportunity would suit an experienced operator who takes pride in precision, quality, and safe working practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Set and operate 5-axis laser cutting machines to engineering drawings and tolerances
- Manufacture components in line with production schedules and build plans
- Ensure all parts meet quality standards and customer requirements
- Read and interpret engineering drawings accurately
- Monitor machine performance and make adjustments where required
- Maintain a high level of workmanship and attention to detail
- Keep the work area clean, organised, and safe
- Report machine faults, quality issues, or safety concerns promptly
- Support other tasks and projects as required by management
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
Essential:
- Experience operating machinery within a manufacturing environment
- Proven ability to set machinery to meet drawing tolerances and specifications
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- Experience setting or operating 5-axis laser machinery
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work to deadlines and production schedules
