Assembly Operative

Cheltenham (GL51)

12.71 per hour Weekly Pay

Monday-Thursday 8:00am-5:00pm Friday 8:00am-1:00pm (Early Finish)

Temporary with potential to become permanent

Gi Group is currently recruiting Assembly Operatives on behalf of a worldwide manufacturing company, based at their production site in Cheltenham (GL51). This is an excellent opportunity to join an established organisation offering stable hours, full training, and long-term opportunities.

Role Overview

As an Assembly Operative, you will work within the production department assembling components on a production line. The role requires good manual dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

A full induction is provided including manual handling and health & safety training.

Key Responsibilities

Assemble components using hand tools such as drills, clamps, rivets, and other equipment

Ensure parts are fitted correctly and to specification

Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workstation

Comply with company and industry health & safety standards

Report and assist in resolving any faults or production issues

Carry out basic preventative maintenance where required

Skills & Experience Required

Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment

Good attention to detail and accuracy

Strong communication skills

Previous production or assembly experience desirable

Knowledge of machinery or hand tools advantageous

Reliable, punctual, and team-focused

Hours & Pay

12.71 per hour, paid weekly

30-minute lunch break plus 15-minute additional break
