Night Shift Operative - Glass Cutting
Location: HU2
Shift Pattern: Sunday to Thursday
Hours: 9:00pm - 4:30am or 10:00pm - 5:30am
Pay Rate: 16.90 per hour
Overtime: Available
The Role
We are currently recruiting a reliable Night Shift Operative to join our glass cutting operation at our HU2 site. This role sits within a fast-paced manufacturing environment and plays a key part in meeting daily production requirements while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
You will be responsible for operating glass-cutting machinery and associated tools, ensuring glass is measured, cut, and prepared accurately to specification. The role requires a high level of attention to detail and a strong commitment to safe working practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating glass-cutting machinery and hand tools
- Measuring, cutting, and preparing glass to precise specifications
- Handling glass and materials safely at all times
- Carrying out quality checks to ensure finished products meet standards
- Working efficiently to meet production targets
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe work area
- Following all health and safety procedures and site rules
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience in glass cutting or a similar production, manufacturing, or precision cutting role
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good understanding of health and safety in a factory environment
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work night shifts consistently
- Comfortable working independently in a physical, fast-paced setting
